My oldest daughter, Addison, has special needs, and she is the entire reason why I even began on my photography journey (you can read more about my story here). 

Because I know that families of children with special needs face unique challenges and additional expenses, I am excited to have joined a group of international photographers who volunteer their professional services to these families.

The group, called Uniquely Abled Photographers, aims to provide periodic, free photo mini sessions for families of children with special needs.  The goal is to have a photographer (or team of photographers) in every state and country to provide periodic free photo sessions for families.

Sharetha Monique Photography is currently the representative for the state of North Carolina.  I have created a private Facebook group for the families of children with special needs in North Carolina.  Every other month, I will be selecting one family from the group to receive a free outdoor mini session*.

Since starting my photography business, I have taken lots of great photos of my daughter (which I’m thankful for), but I always knew that I wanted to cater to other families and children with special needs in some capacity. I'm so thankful for this opportunity and platform to be able to give back to others.
