Why I Decided to Better Serve My Clients | Charlotte Full Service Photographer
When I first started my business in 2015, I was more than happy take my clients’ photos and send the final images a few days later in an instant download. I mean, that’s what people wanted, right? The digitals? That’s what I thought (and I wanted to make my clients happy), so that’s what I did.
A few weeks or months later, I would follow-up with my clients, beaming with anticipation: “So did you print your photos?” *silence*
You can’t possibly imagine the disappointment I felt when I found out that no one printed their photos. “They’re really beautiful, Sharetha! They really are. I just haven’t had the time to print them!” Bummer…because you can admire the photos SO MUCH BETTER in print form than you can online.
After hearing that response from more than one client, I decided to make a change in my business model. I would no longer just provide digital files to my clients. Instead, I would be a full-service photographer.
Why, you ask?
Because THEY needed me to. And I needed me to, too.
So what do you mean when you say “full service?”
I’m glad you asked!
By offering full service, that means that I not only capture wonderful images for you and your loved ones, but I also provide you with beautiful, customized print and product options to keep and display your photos forever.
Why do I sell prints and other products to my clients?
Because getting the correct colors in your photos can be challenging in consumer labs.
My prints are fulfilled through a professional photo lab, whose printers are calibrated to my computer. What that means for you is that what I see and edit on my screen is what prints at the professional photo lab and gets delivered to you.
Because setting crop dimensions can be confusing and frustrating.
Crop dimensions? Say what? Yes…sometimes a photo may need to be cropped in order to obtain the photo size that you desire. When I order a specific size photo that needs to be cropped, I make certain that the crop dimensions make sense, and that no important parts of the photo are lost (chopped heads, hands, etc).
Because getting the right products for the right spaces in your home makes all the difference.
My job is to provide you with excellent service, to figure out what artwork would look best in your space and where to place them, and what other products are needed to display and share your beautiful images.
At the end of the day, it all comes down to service…and quality…and preserving your beautiful photos forever. My goal is to be your photographer for many years to come. In the end, I want you to be happy with not only your images, but with your entire experience. I offer my clients a variety of print products, including albums and wall art to display their beautiful photos.
